New Peoples Bank Opens Bristol VA State Street Branch

New Peoples Bank is announcing the opening of a new branch location on October 28, 2021, at 901 West State Street, Bristol, Virginia. This will be the second branch for New Peoples Bank in Bristol, VA extending the bank's footprint to include 19 branches in southwest Virginia, northeastern Tennessee, southern West Virginia and a Loan Production Office in western North Carolina. This state-of-the-art, full service banking center will feature a newly designed spacious interior, a private area to access safe deposit box content, Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) both inside and outside, a self-service coin counter, and easy, accessible drive-thru lanes.

Marjorie Tester joins New Peoples Bank as First Vice President and Market Manager for Bristol VA/TN Market

New Peoples Bank is pleased to announce that Marjorie Tester has joined the bank as First Vice President and Market Manager serving the Bristol, Virginia/Tennessee market. Tester has over 34 years of banking experience, most recently with First Horizon Bank in Bristol, Tennessee. She has held numerous roles throughout her financial career including Customer Service Representative, Branch Manager, Lender, Private Banker, and Investment Advisor. Tester currently holds a series 6 Investment License for both Virginia and Tennessee and is past president of Tennessee Bankers Association's Johnson City Chapter.
